Once again, we will be presenting a program of science songs at the 2016 (tenth annual!) Cambridge Science Festival in April, sung by an intergenerational chorus for audiences of all ages. This year's production will be a series of songs on the theme of Giants of Science, highlighting the lives and work of great scientists and mathematicians throughout history who have shaped our understanding of the world. Included will be songs about Johannes Kepler, Charles Darwin, Ada Lovelace, Erwin Schrödinger, Annie Jump Cannon, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, to name just a few. For a sample of such a song, listen to/watch the slideshow from our 2009 performance of "Mister Darwin" by David Haines.

Giants of Science will comprise 16 songs by David Bass, Michael Ching, Andrea Gaudette, David Haines, Ruth Hertzman-Miller, Daniel Kallman, Dan Kohane, Bruce Lazarus, Tim Maurice, and Lauren Mayer. Included will be a medley of songs composed by Cambridge Public School students under the direction of David Haines, as part of David's CPS Songwriting Workshops. The entire program will include an accompanying slideshow of song lyrics and children's artwork.

Learn more about and listen to/watch this past year's performance of A Little Light Music. And here are recordings from our 2014 science chorus, Powers of Ten.
